red flag to a bull those carts can't resist !
by possum inwent to a market yesterday and there it was a cart manned by a middle-aged women and a young one.
in a really respectful, friendly manner i approached them and enquired if watchtower society had done anything about its "two witness policy" post royal commission.
knew nothing of 2 witness rule.

Magazine Demo
by OzGirl intwo sisters did a magazine demo recently.
one used her tablet to show a scripture to the other one.
the second one said: "that looks easier than trying to find it in a book.".

Right on, Divergent! I always said, "what difference does it make where you read the scripture from, it says the same thing!!!" It drove me crazy... Sooooo glad I do not have to try and figure this insane type of reasoning out anymore! -

Warwick Safety Orientation
by wifibandit inwelcome to warwick safety orientation!
each warwick volunteer is required to view the entire three-hour program and complete the five short quizzes one week before arriving at warwick.
to benefit fully from each of the five sections, we recommend that you set aside time in a quiet location with minimal distractions and give the program your full attention.

Was Jesus a hypocrite?
by James Mixon injesus spoke of loving your enemy, matt.5:43, luke 6:26, but look what is said in.
mark 16:51,16 "go preach but who ever does not believe his ass will be set on fire".. i don't think that is good news.
hell if that is love, what the hell is hate.

Haha Nicolaou! Good one!
I also was bother by the double standards of Jesus, and "us"...
HE could get mad at the money changers, call them for what they were, but WE had to "turn the other cheek" when robbed and lied too by "our brothers" o/wise we weren't "Christ like"

Awwweeesssooommneeee!!!!
When we woke up, we wanted to"do it on our own..." ONLY the Society's literature.. We didn't want to be accused of "being apostate" (haha)...
As we learned... It doesn't matter which way you find out "the truth"... Right?
Give him his space, when he opens up more, he will soon come to you!
Congratulations! cha ching!

The term "OZ" comes from a movie released in 1939, then shown on TV in the U.S. in 1956 ... "The Wizard of Oz" -

At 15 minutes into the video, Tyler asks the elder about "the two greatest commandments" and how he would show love. An exchange definitely worth watching... True colors revealed.
Tyler asks great questions, and the best part of it is, Tyler cannot be intimidated by the threat of "disfellowshipping" or "shunning". He can be open, honest, sincere and the elder can do nothing to him.
I also like the fact that he interviews the neighbors, the woman is a sweetheart, and also the man who built and designed their home. Nice folks, quite a different story than what the COBE told.
It is a great perspective on how "the world" views this type of "neighborly love."

48th ANNIVERSARY of me GOING TO PRISON
by Terry ini was twenty years old.. as a jehovah's witness, i had no career path ahead of me, no college to attend, and no prospect for my future other than.
knocking on people's doors and scanning the horizon for signs of armageddon:).
i was engaged to a 17-year-old witness girl i had met at the mineral wells assembly.. what was our future together?

So sorry, Terry, I can only imagine the things going through your head... you were an innocent person, an honest person, with sincere desires..
I was a teenager in the late 60s early 70s, and those same kinds of things went thru my mind too... "Will I 'cry out'?" "What if I like it?" "What if I can't run?" "What if they have a knife to my throat?" "Will I even tell the elders?" "Can I tell the police? What if THEY tell the elders, and I get DF'd?" It scares you.
Even when you were wondering "how this was going to reflect on Jehovah’s Witnesses," and thinking, "asked to transfer to Alternate Service in the hospital at this point I’d be marked as a loser whose lack of faith brought on his own ruination. I would let my fellow inmates down," the mind numbing propaganda still stuck, didn't it? ..... you will "never be tested beyond what you can endure".... That is a sad thing to stick in people's heads, because if they CAN'T endure it, then they must not be so good... when really, it isn't THEIR fault, it was a crime, a crime that the perpetrator must be accountable for.
Your illustration of the fake map that "keeps taking you in circles" is spot on! "The journey that never ends..." A JW is 'never good enough,' 'never done,' 'must always improve,' ..... even then, when we had done our very, very best, we wondered, 'will i make it thru Armageddon?"
The WTBS wants so much of US, yet gives us nothing. It demands more and more. I am so grateful that many have written of their real life journeys, made you-tube videos, blogged, gone to court.... We are now seeing, as has never been possible before, 'the fake map makers' the 'men behind the curtain' for who they are...
Thx, cha ching!
